Morning allEnjoy your caravan time away TA. {{hugs}} to Silver Oldie, you'll always have the happy memoriesWell our shower is in and chap said don't use it for a few hours until everything has set so I didn't and used it this morning instead. Thought the stream was a bit weak and when I was all lathered up the stream went to a weak drip and then stopped! I had to use a mug and water from the wash basin to rinse myself off. I was not happy, am laughing now though. DH thinks the pump hadn't been turned back on so he'll have a look when he gets home.Gers I saw the news about Milton yesterday. Very sad. Enjoy Ellie Taylor. I think I know her from Mock the Week show and others and she is comical.Have a good day all x7

Morning all
Still bright and sunny here but we are meant to have rain from tomorrow. Day off today and I have the house to myself which is bliss I am going to take the dogs out after this before it gets too hot and then come back and hoover through etc.The wm is on and another load to go in after will hang it out after it should dry well today.OH got a big tax rebate after me doing his tax return for the last few years so he is treating us to a takeaway tonight which will be nice, he has also promised me a bottle of Jo Malone perfume at the airport 😬 when we go away in August I love her perfume..
Gers the baked lemon chicken was delicious I did it with cubed garlic potatoes and asparagus let me know if you want a recipe, enjoy your trip xx
NRA Robs mum is about the same as far as I know, the SW is going to have a meeting with her on Wednesday about her health so we may know more after that, she is just about bed bound and needs help to go onto the commode etc I am hoping to take Rob to see her soon.
S oldie hugs to you xx

Good morning all. It feels cooler - only around 20 deg - and the sun is taking its time putting in an appearance today. So disappointing, but it is another Bank Holiday on Monday so it shouldn't come as any surprise!
Tadah - I finished the wall washing yesterday! It seems to have taken an eternity doing it in bite-size pieces but it's done. It didn't do my finger nails any favours (I soon ditched the Marigolds) so last night I treated them to a DIY manicure. Planning ahead, I've ordered some new net curtains and am thinking about (maybe) painting the radiators too once I'm sure the heating can be turned off.
I seem to be back on the list for scam phone calls this week; I've them for had loft insulation, driveway replacement and suspected bank transactions. Some I just ignore if I don't recognise the number and I hang up on the ones I do answer. I'm very careful who I give my phone number to but somehow "they" seem to get hold of it. Nuisances.
Other than the usual Friday admin, today will be a day of quiet reflection for me as I remember two VIPs missing from my life. The first is my beloved DH; it's been six months since he died and I can't believe how quickly that time has passed nor how I've settled into a new routine. The other is my DM who would have been 100 today; she died suddenly in 1989 at the age of just 64. Both missed every day.
@Gers - I hope you enjoy the theatre tonight, despite the change of artiste. I know what you mean about dry skin - I should have shares in body lotion!
@TA - Enjoy your caravan stay and the change of scenery. Hopefully, you'll not get rained on.
@SO - Healing hugs.
Right, it's time to see what state my finances are in - I think a bit of money shuffling might be in order somewhere along the line.Take care all. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10
