Reolink door cam Poe advice

I bought a Poe door cam yesterday and need advice on how to get it connected.

Reolink website says I need a Poe switch/injector that has to be 48 v and be 802.3af compliant.

I have the router about 8 feet from the front door.

I was hoping to connect it to my CCTV NVR that is Poe but running the cable from the door to the NVR at the opposite side of the house and upstairs is nearly impossible.

I have looked on Reolink website but to me it's not clear what is needed.

Any help will be appreciated.

Look at something like this Ubiquiti U-POE-af Instant 802.3af 48V 15W Power POE Injector with TOMAN UK Adapter plug (colours may vary): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories which will take a standard RJ45 ethernet cable and add PoE on the output to the device.

Basically think of it as the same sort of thing (to an extent) of a wired landline telephone - it gets its power from the land line and thus remains working when the power goes off

What router do you have?  Some may not be able to work with PoE, so they'll network but not provide any power.  You may have to use a Poe Switch - something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-Switch-Port-Gigabit-Ethernet/dp/B0CQHTR16P - connect your camera to that then a network cable to your router.
