facebook marketplace scam????

hi, just posted ad on marketplace, buyer offers full price plus a little extra for post, will send money by bank transfer upfront then i post, sounds too good??? but if the money is bacs and its in my account then i send how can i go wrong??? feels a bit weird, he hasn't even seen item or really asked about it, all advice appreciated

Bank transfer is the safest way to be paid, as long as you make sure that you check your account has the money in it before you send the goods. The scam version is usually just the "buyer" sending you a screenshot that appears to show them transferring the money, or the money leaving their account.0

They will send you a fake copy of the bank transfer then ask you to send the item as they have paid. They're hoping that some people are stupid enough to do this rather than actually check their bank account to see if the money actually arrived.kernow999 said:
