(I know I probably didn't do this right)0 -
Don't worry, it's got the facts in there. Very clear that you have transferred liability.3

Thank you so much. So should I reply to their email or just wait to hear a court date?0

Coupon-mad said:In short: they lied.
Await your Hearing Order then include all of this in your Witness statement and attach the email evidence. We will help you.
There is NO 28 DAY DEADLINE in the POFA. Stop being sucked in!
By the way, please tell your son NOT TO OFFER TO PAY PARKING FIRMS! He was never 'happy to pay'. You don't pay these scam PCNs.
Don't get sucked in as a family to thinking these are 'fines' and funding them to issue more. That's not OK.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Deffo don't pay. I'd also write and ask on what legal basis they hope to bring a claim. In theory, one could apply to strike out the claim on the basis that it has no prospect of success and seek costs.5

I've had another email from Gladstones:
With all due respect, I believe that you are confused as to the status of the claim.
A claim has already been issued against you on 5th February. A mediation occurred on 21st March to endeavour to settle the claim. We made an offer of £215 to settle the matter, and as a matter of courtesy have allowed this offer to remain open until 4pm today. If full payment is not received by this time, then we will proceed with the claim.
We will not engage in a protracted discussion about the claim, the basis of which you should be aware of, given the timeline of events.
Should you not make payment today, then we will proceed with the claim.

Hello, I got two letters today. One dated 1st May, 'Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing)', then a Notice of Trial Date for 10am on 31st July 2025. Then it says 'unless the claimant does by 4pm on 3 July pay to the court the trial fee of £27 or file a properly completed applications for help with fees, then the claim will be struck out with effect from 3 July'. It doesn't seem to ask me to do anything though?0

Are you sure ?
It usually mentions a deadline a few weeks before the hearing date for all parties to submit their WS & Exhibits bundle to the other parties, typically 2 to 4 weeks before the hearing date

Oh wait, yes it does: each party must deliver to the other party and to the court office copies of all documents on which that party intends to rely at the hearing no later than 14 days before the hearing. Sorry.
