Car insurance quote - claim cost

redvers
I'm renewing my car insurance and getting quotes. I had a no fault accident in January. On the comparison site it asks for the total claim cost. I had always assumed this was the cost to repair my car even if no fault - but when I rang my insurance company they said zero because the costs were claimed back from the third party. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance

If that's what they told you . . . . . . . .0

Isn't there usually a 'cost not known' box?0

I've just had the same question when running a quote. I just put 300 as that was the excess I paid. But that seems silly now I think of it. I'm just going to run another quote and put zero - because they have asked me the question and I didn't pay anything. Also I would have no idea how much my car cost to fix, and if the other van ever got fixed at all, and if so how much did it cost. After letters threatening court, the other party ended up admitting fault so I got my excess back anyway0

When we took out new insurance after an accident we put 'not known' as it was all paid direct by the insurance company so we did not know how much they paid out.0
