Problems with Parcel Monkey/Parcel Force

I booked and posted a parcel with the mention couriers which was supposed to be delivered on Friday to a friend of mine in London. Parcel Force have said the addressee has refused the parcel at the door and returned the package to Parcel Maonkey depot. My friend works from home and was at home all day and Parcel Force did not call to his apartment. Parcel Monkey not want me to pay £20.00 to have the package returned to sender or destroyed. I only paid 11.00 to post the package in the first place. I'm getting no help from either company. The contents of the package are guitar parts. My friend is building me a lightweight guitar as im a terminally ill musican with pulomary fibrosis. The build will take a few months and time is against me. I need this package delivered asap. Can MSE help.

Parcelforce will typically send you a notification (via email or text) when your parcel is on its way or when they've attempted a delivery. You should be able to check details online also. You state apartment was it a call bell door keypad entrance?
Is it possible they were refused by another resident?0 -
Contact Parcel Force directly; they don't normally ask for payment to return an undelivered item.
