Is new MSE British Gas deal better than the one in March 2025?

I am so confused with all these price caps. Is the new Brit Gas deal currently advertised by MSE ( British Gas v63 Fixed Tariff ) better than the "amazing" Brit Gas Fixed Tariff advertised in March 2025 (British Gas Fixed Tariff v49)? I tried googling to compare the tariffs but I can't find anywhere that actually shows the old rates! Am just curious, in case anyone has the actual standing charge and rates for the Tariff v49. I am in London, in case that helps with standing charge rates.

Just changed mine from the previous British Gas Fixed Tariff v49 you mentioned above, went through within minutes, my direct debit has gone down by £4 a month. I wonder if I'll get both cashbacks from the v49 as well as the v63, both via the MSE Energy Club? I hope so! lolLondonLondon1 said:I am so confused with all these price caps. Here are the rates. I'm going to check the new one now
It's £9.66 a year cheaper for me but the fix isn't as long. 🤔🤔🤔 I think I'll wait for the next cheaper rate as it's not a massive saving.1 -
