judgement issued-£1k+ -Unaware

Hello everyone
I received a claim form for £1100 for 5 PCN’s On the 19th of March. A judgement was issued on the 8th of April
I was not aware of this claim or judgement till last week as I moved addresses.

I have not filed a confirmation on the money claim website as it was too late that I was aware of the letter

further details Are on my other forum linked below as a member told me to start a new forum.

What should I do? And how should I do it? I don’t really know what to do for this claim of £1100 of a judgement already issued. I don’t want to pay and I want to contest/complain and I really do not need a CCJ either. It is for multiple parking tickets in a car park.

You have to apply for a set aside due to incorrect service of papers   ( wrong address used  ), same as all the others on here

    As above.
A few questions, you have left part of the location visible, it says "one housing car park London"  The location is useful as it points towards this being a residential case.

    Yes/No:
A: Was the vehicle parked in that location as an occupant was a resident at that location?
If Yes, then (B) Does the occupant have the tenancy agreement for the flat/house at that location
    (C) Does / did the occupant of the vehicle have a right to park in that location as per the tenancy agreement/freehold etc?

Yes but the OP should be applying to STAY THE WRIT (at their local court - NOT AT THE CNBC - this costs £14 or £15 for that application).

    As already advised here:

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am not sure they can actually do that until they know a writ has been issued.
Whilst we know it will i wonder if they should wait

Op are you getting mail forwarded from your old address?

FYI Park Maven's "no valid parking session" is a lazy catch-all for non-payment / overstay etc.

I would be interested to hear if they're using this one-liner for "unauthorised / no-permit" parking.

The normal procedure is to copy and paste the defence template into word

Then adapt paragraphs 2 & 3 to suit your own case,  because each one may be slightly different

Add a concise paragraph 3.1 if there is extra detail that needs to be in it

Your name and address,  vrm details and claim reference number would be added to the document

Once complete,  the word document is saved as a final pdf document

The defence pdf would be attached to the email and the claim reference etc added to the email

The email is then sent to the location dealing with the case at that point in time
