Hello esteemed experts!
Some advice please on the following:
Received a PNC from NPM stating I had to pay a parking charge of £100 (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days) for the reason 'Customer and Patrons only whilst they remain on site'.
The site in question sits near a row of shops and offers 30 mins free parking, I was on site for 3 minutes and 54 seconds. I remained in the vehicle throughout whilst 3 members of my family left, crossing a road to visit a shop before returning to the vehicle and we left.
I'm guessing the PCN implies that we didn't use the parking site to visit the row of shops it serves, thus contravening the terms and conditions of the parking under the 'Customer and Patrons only whilst they remain on site'.
When visiting the NPM website there a numerous pictures of my vehicle showing pics as I've explained, plus a close up of the signage, which I've attached below along with a redacted copy of the PCN.

.
I've not appealed yet, obviously not going to admit anything and have no intention of paying but would help if someone was to give their take on next move? Any good grounds for disputing the charge? NPM are IPC Accredited, not BPA.
I note it says on signage 'Between 8am and 6pm, customers may park whilst remaining on site for a maximum stay of up to 30 minutes from arrival'. I did park and remained on site as the driver of the car.
Any advice hugely appreciated - thank you!

Ignore it. There's no appeal worth trying.
Tell them if you move house. Come back if you get a court claimPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Coupon-mad, can you please elaborate?
What is the chance of it reaching a court claim? I'm assuming there will be further letters threatening all sorts of legal action etc, is the end game hopefully them giving up as it's not worth pursuing through court? Should I not engage at any point? Thanks0 -
The end game is they either give up or you get a court claim and you win.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, all understood.
One further point:
National Parking Management Ltd (NPM) are members of the BPA, also appear on the BPA site members list. Does this change anything? Thanks0
