Parking charge

I parked over the lines in a parent and child space. The car next to me was over the lines and to get my child out safely I also parked over. We moved house and forgot to inform the dvla so the original charge was sent to our old address. When we changed address it came here but by this point it has been sent to debt collectors and they want £170.
I can’t afford this.
I have emailed the landowner who said UKPC can’t do anything now as it has gone to litigation, what do I do now ?

Did UKPC write to you at your new address or just the debt agency? The landowner could be lying unless a court claim has already been sent to your old address.
You need to go to NEWBIES THREAD (4TH POST) THE DEBT COLLECTORS' STAGE Changed address?
email a Data Rectification Notice to UKPC DPO.
INSTRUCT them and any of their agents to ERASE your old address and replace it with your current address xxxxx for service. (find UKPC DPO email in their privacy policy).
Include non-photo proof of your name/address such as a redacted utility bill/bank/council tax/ credit card statement.

As long as they have your correct address AND you've emailed UKPC and their debt crawlers to 'erase the old address from their files' just ignore the threatograms.
Come back if you get a LBC. Easy to deal with.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

At least there is a photograph of the other offending car encroaching, which is good evidence that the Parking "management" company are not managing! Quite often in theses scenarios, the offending car has left.1
