Advice - wrong address DVLA - tracer

Hi! Thanks for the newbies advice - My case is a bit different and I was looking for some advice. I don’t know how it got mixed up but anyway - car was still registered with DVLA to my old address for a year and a half. However we set up forwarding mail and the new tenant usually dropped stuff off for us. He dropped off a debt recovery plus letter dated 1 month after the alleged parking violation but no PCN or any correspondence from initial parking LTD prior to this. I also got a letter to my new address saying they had traced me (on the advice of the forum I’ve emailed their data protection to ask for the first address to be removed)
What I am worried about is because my DVLA address was wrong, and it says on DVLA website you risk a £1000 fine for not informing of a change of address- will I end up with a DVLA problem if I ignore debt recovery plus? I can argue I didn’t get the first letters, but I can’t say for certain if they were or weren’t sent because I don’t live there which is my fault for not updating.
When I use the international parking ltd notice number on the debt recovery plus letter on initial parking’s website to either pay/ appeal the charge it just says not found.
So I’ve basically got a letter demanding 170 and threatening legal action on a charge I don’t know about, but can’t absolve myself of responsibility because it’s my fault the address wasn’t updated so I don’t know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.
Hope that makes sense
thank you
thank you

Situation is no different to anyone else's
Why would it be.1 -
Just ignore them after a quick email to Initial's DPO and DR Plus, telling them to ERASE the old address.
That's all.
Initial aren't litigious but (just in case that ever changes during the 6 years to litigate under contract law) you must check each letter of course so you must ensure no old address stays on their database.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don't see where you align silly Debt Recovery Plus with getting in trouble with the DVLA, DRP are just a debt collection company, they have no powers or authority or anything to do with the DVLA, and you don't actually have a debt.Get your details changed now with the DVLA that problem is sorted.3

Felt it was different as it could easily be argued it was my fault I missed the appeal deadline as my DVLA address was wrong as opposed to most people who did appeal on time but was rejected before it goes to debt collection.
Therefore wasn’t sure if I had a leg to stand on if it ever came to litigationBut thank you, have emailed both about address removal2 -

He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".4
