Moving in with parents whilst we wait for out new house to be completed. What to do with tariffs?
Options
Hi, I'm struggling to find any advice on our current issue as it feels like a niche problem but also we can't be the only ones who have come across this.
We currently live in a flat that we have now sold, and we have purchased a new build property which is due for completion at the end of September. We are due to move out of our current flat at the end of August and move back into my wife's parent's house until we can move into our new house.
Our fixed deal for energy on our current flat is ending May 22nd, so we are trying to work out if we should fix again or go on to a variable rate until we move out.
If anyone has any advice, guidance or has been through a similar situation then it would be great to hear from you as we are a bit stuck with what the best option is.
Thanks!

You want to make sure you get a tariff without any exit fees as you won't be taking the supply with you when you move.
Let's Be Careful Out There0 -
If fix go no exit fees.
If a landlord evicts some will wave fees but you know your leaving in 3 months. It's not reasonable to expect them to.
Over summer with a £160+ price cap drop expected I'd just go svt0 -
I'd just stay with who you are with when it ends, you're not going to be using much energy and it will save hassle.0

I wouldn't bother renewing personally, summer consumption is likely to be very low so we're likely talking £'s.Know what you don't0
