Intelligent Octopus Go - Two Registers
From around 1 April 2025 it seems my Intelligent Octopus Go tariff has switched from recording on one register to recording on two registers.
It looks like the second register has started recording overnight usage but not any EV charging that Intelligent Octopus Go switches to daytime.
So far, there doesn't appear to be anything untoward in this change, but I am wondering if it is an anomaly or has this change happened for others on Intelligent Octopus Go?

Billing for IOG is based on the half-hour readings not the main registers so it should not affect billing, but it might prove helpful if you ever suffer a data loss as the day/night registers will at lease give an accurate split for any overnight charging.The_Hawk said:From around 1 April 2025 it seems my Intelligent Octopus Go tariff has switched from recording on one register to recording on two registers.

Octopus configured my meter to use two registers when I was on Go. It's still on two registers now I've switched to Intelligent Go.As stated above, the registers aren't used for billing.N. I appreciate that the registers are not used for billing, I was just curious as to why Octopus have changed me from one to two registers after being on Intelligent Octopus Go for around 3 years.0

It would be a sensible move if it means that you would go to E7 in the event of SOLR; not specifically for Octopus, but for the industry in general.
