Hi all

I was clambering up on a ladder yesterday painting window frames in my house & spotted this construction in one of the higher window vents.

There doesn't seem to be any signs of life.

A/ What is it?
B/ What (if anything) should I do about it?

Thanks for any advice  B)

Was it really "everybody" that was Kung Fu fighting ???

Intrigued so I search with Google lens and it seems it could be Annulohypoxylon Bovei fungus but it seems very symmetrical for a fungus!

Or is it an open cell foam intended to reduce noise and perhaps filter incoming air ?

The fact that it seems to fit exactly in the space, would back up your theory.

I agree, and to stop insects getting in.
