Good morning Gers, and all to follow, thanks for starting.
It's a fine start here. Yesterday was a nice day, but with a chilly breeze.
Allie, I like your little van, you'll have great holidays in it.
I spent yesterday morning in the back yard repotting plants, moving them about, and I cut the azalea bush back. Tidied up a bit in the front garden as well.
I tackled a pile of ironing in the afternoon, and got that out of the way.
By early evening I was quite glad to have a hot bath as the aches and pains were starting.
I was awake early this morning, but didn't have a bad night, not by my standards anyway!
Nanny, you were asking about Dh - he started radiotherapy last week, and seems to be tolerating it well so far. He's tired but ok. Next week he'll have another hormone injection. Tiredness seems to be the main side effect, but he can rest whenever he wants to. Thank you for asking!
Today there's nothing much on the agenda, except for this afternoon when I'll visit my old friend up the road. She is always pleased to see visitors.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Thanks for the start Gers and hope everyone else has a good day.Thank you for all the ❤️ for my new van - spent most of yesterday arranging stuff back into it. Managed some gardening and mowed the lawn too. Back to exam invigilation today. Going to walk Bdog now as it’ll be too warm when I get back mid afternoon.Take care all - those in the ☀️ zone, please keep hydrated!AA13

Morning allUp and at 'em early this morning. I've got to finish clearing out the bathroom as we are having our bath removed and a shower put in and a new toilet and basin combination and a new floor so this week our kitchen will be the new bathroom for a while! Luckily my DS lives just down the road so can use his shower when needed.Looks a beautiful day out there again todayHave a good day everyone x14

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A lovely start as promised. Not a lot going on here will see what the day brings. Yesterday I resumed my potting on. I was almost tempted to buy some geraniums in the SM but decided I'd leave it till after my caravan jaunt. Hope everywhere doesn't sell out in the meantime!
I feel kind of off it this morning, it came over me last night. Just a vague mixture of not wellness symptoms. I hope it's just a 24 hour job.
There are some nice garden photos on here, I am envious. Mine is a hotchpotch of all sorts. RUBY where did you get your solar fountain? I sent off for one last year and it was a dead loss, it didn't even start. I contacted the seller but gave it up as a bad job as he didn't even want to know and I felt as though I was flogging a dead horse.. ALLIE love your smart new campervan. SNOOZER fingers crossed you have no more messy kitchen and your little chat worked. It's not nice being taken for granted is it.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -
Morning everyone it’s dull but the sun is supposed to shine later it was the same yesterday still a bit chilly in that breeze I got all my washing dry yesterday but had to put my coat on a quick wash when I came back from Lidl I bought a big tub of yogurt and I split it when I put the milk in the trolley and didn’t realize when I pulled it out I was covered in it could only happen to me. Off to meet my friend soon for a coffee and a catch up I don’t know what’s happening with the rest of the day i might if it warms up just sit outside. Scarlet pleased DH seems as if he is coping my friend had radiotherapy a few years ago and she said the tiredness was a big thing but she just rested and slept when she needed but she’s fit and well now . TA hope you feel better soon and enjoy your caravan trip . DP1 I hope the porridge helps little one with her mornings. Gers I hope you are feeling less sore today . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all
Lovely bright day here again it’s so nice to wake up to the sun and lovely weather, Rob coming today and we are off to meet our friends and go bowling and have a walk / picnic along the canal bank should be a nice day, I have a work meeting after work too which hopefully won’t go on too long.
We ate in the garden again last night which was lovely it still gets chilly in the evenings though but not enough to light the fire, I think that’s probably it till winter now so we will have to clean it out and get it swept.
Dinner tonight will be some pork belly strips with a sticky sauce and rice and peas, dd is off today so she will cook.
TA I bought a cheap fountain the first year but it was rubbish and didn’t last long so last year I bought a more expensive one I think it was from Amazon and around the £50 mark, it did last about two years though, I have just bought another one on Vinted new in box for £5 which was a bargain.
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning
A bright start to what promises to be another nice day. Allie, I know what you mean about the heat for the dogs big dog wants to stay out but being white we have to be extra careful with him in the sun. By the way, I do love your van.
I didn't get on here yesterday I watched the London marathon. Being from London I like to see all the old haunts, although it's changed a lot. I remember the first marathon, the route went past the end of our road, and I stood there with my year old son in his pram cheering them on.
After that I had a phone call from my DD, who is coming to stay this weekend. I made the mistake of asking what my dgd's like to eat, and now have a long list, but to be honest it's things like pizza, which we don't have very often. Apparently my eldest gd wants to do some baking with me, when will be interesting as she's severely visually impaired. We are also going to make afternoon tea for everyone. The younger dgd just wants to take big dog for walks with grandad.
Dont know what's for tea, but think it'll be something with salad, maybe chicken.
Ruby your garden looks lovely.
Have a good day everyone whatever you're doing, and hugs to all who need them. Take care.12 -
@remmie I was the same with the London Marathon. I lived on the route too but had moved out to get married before the very first one. When my 2 DSs were old enough we would stay at my mum's who lived on the 9th floor of a block of flats and go down and watch them all go by and try to avoid the bottles that were being thrown to the side of the road. It was a lovely atmosphere. Sometimes when I watch it now and the camera is in the right place at the right time I see them all run by my mum's flats. Happy memories.11

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
A work day for me, so I’m just finishing my breakfast. I have a 1:1 with my line manager today plus need to do some training. Not sure whether I’ll get to do much actual work.I did some gardening yesterday so was very creaky last night. More to do tomorrow - apparently the previous owner was out there every day (gulp). I also plan to visit the community kitchen garden as we haven’t been for three weeks due to being away.Glad DH is coping with the radiotherapy @ScarletRibbons - I know my Dad also experienced fatigue with it, not helped by having to travel an hour each way every day.Have a good day everyone
