Hi
I'm thinking of getting a 0% 24m cc to pay off over 12-24m for a larger purchase.
Can I check when the 'offer' would start generally? Once you make the purchase and 24m from then or as soon as the application is successful? Thanks

from when the application is agreed.
edited to add - check the T&Cs but normally there will be a certain period to get 0% on the purchases. Might just be the first 3 months or similar. And normally after that because you're not clearing your balance in full each month any new purchases will get the high rate of interest from date of purchase, not when it's on your statement. And as always - ensure you've got a DD set up for at least the minimum so that you don't lose your 0% deal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. And usually, it would be for purchases made for the whole 12/24 months or whatever. Those which have the 'for the first the three months' or whatever, tend to be those which have a balance transfer offer alongside, which you would need to be wary aboutI consider myself to be a male feminist.
