I believe you could request a vulnerable person CIFAS market be placed on them?

Depending on the circumstances, is there a need to implement Power of Attorney?

The hardest part is getting the victim to realise it was a fraud.   Has your father got to that stage yet or is he still in denial?

In what way(s) was he defrauded?  For example, is he susceptible to smooth-talking phone fraudsters (call blocker being a solution) and/or stuff propagated via social media and/or face-to-face contact?

    1. Victims of fraud sometimes find it hard to accept they have been scammed. Has your father accepted the fact?
    2. If it is a UK company that has been cloned, show them the correct address & phone number they should be using.
It's on the FCA register: https://register.fca.org.uk/s/
    3. See if the cloned company is yet on the FCA scam list (it takes time to update the list). If it is show them it :
    https://www.fca.org.uk/consumers/warning-list-unauthorised-firms.
    4. Contact Action Fraud & report it.
    5. If you have
Power of Attorney, you might be able to set a  CIFAS "Protective Registration" marker,
    5. Inform banks involved to see if they can do anything to help.

How can CIFAS protective registration help against this sort of fraud?
