More info from probate office

Applied for probate and got an email asking for more info. The will pages are single and they want confirmation, that no pages have been removed or added after execution. The pages are numbered, so why? They want confirmation from who drafted the will or any witnesses. Is this unusual if the will is going to be rejected, they would have said so. Have a response within two weeks of applying. Thanks

Pages can be numbered but there can still be insertions/deletions if the testator included a page 2a or something similar. Is there any suggestion that the text of the will doesn't 'flow' properly from one page to the next (which would suggest something had been removed)?
It is also quite possible for a miscreant to take a loose page and replace it with one they prefer, simply giving it the same page number as they page they are replacing.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0 -
With both the (professionally drawn up) wills I've had to execute, the pages have been securely fastened together with a clip so that there is no possibility of pages being subsequently added, removed or replaced. l can understand that having just loose pages may raise questions, even if the pages are numbered.0

It is standard procedure to staple the will together before signing. Otherwise the contents could be altered after signing. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
