Pre-payment smart meter for elestric and gas)
I went from British Gas to EDF (electric and gas) and now going to British Gas
19/04/25 - applied to switch to EDF to start 25/04/25 - to go in to credit mode and pay by Direct Debit.
19/04/25 - email from British Gas confirming I am leaving
22/04/25 - missed call from British Gas retentions
24/04/25 - missed call from British Gas retentions
25/04/25 - EDF have taken over supply, both meters changed to credit mode, prepayment balance no longer showing (I hope to get a refund from British Gas) - readings given myself.
25/04/25 - spoke to British Gas retentions, offered me better deal (al least I hope it was) and they going to supply from the 30/04/25
I have not had an email from EDF confirming I am leaving, I am within 14 day period to cancel exit fee free (I hope).
Bit worried as nothing from EDF to confirm, should I do what I did above and just for British Gas take over, supply readings and do nothing with EDF? Only asking as I do the same with Broadband annually expect this time 2 months ago it was not automatic do nothing.

So EDF confirmed the switch.
However, a Direct Debiot was meant to be taken from British Gas last Tuesday 6th May - nothing has been taken or updated on the dashboard. EDF have not taken anything either.
Had enough going on chat about various issues since they were installed.
Thinking do nothing and wait for them - the money will be there ready in the account going to my bills account monthly and I will take photos with timestamps.
Is the best thing to do?0
