Toy cap guns where to sell .

A few days ago took a punt on a job lot of old toys at an auction , when I got home found most were 70s / 80s toy cap guns which only after a bit of research unable to sell on Ebay...

Any idea where I can legally sell them , most  are cowboy Colt style revolvers with ornate handles .

Should I  take the hit and just stick them back in with another auction house.

Any advice would be appreciated.

    I see 1960s cap gun's on eBay

Maybe "toy gun" would pass the filters

It's probably in the choice of words in the listings

Most collectors would know what they are

Personally I wouldn’t risk it on eBay, I’m even careful about using the words gin metal as a colour or barrel for a pen as eBay really really don’t like imitation or toy guns

Vinted and FB marketplace would be the same.

Most people selling them sell them as collectable toys to avoid notice, but we all know what eBay is like, they will leave some sellers alone and go after others with no apparent logic behind it.

Thanks for the information , I tried listing a cowboy style cap gun similar to a couple which had sold a week or so earlier but it got pulled within a couple of hours by Ebay...

I agree, even if you get around the words then a bot will be image searching. Others may be on by not being caught yet or just getting away with it.

I did think selling on an overseas site may work but then realised there'd be shipping issues.

If they have any decent value, I'd try a dealer.

You could try asking the question to local Trading Standards, you can usually find them via your council.
