We've got about 13,000 airmiles after a lot of saving (including a lot of going out of our way doing things to get airmiles - like spending on a airmiles collecting credit card and repaying rather than just paying cash and so on). We were intending to use this to help pay towards a holiday to Florida this coming August.

Now because the part-miles thing seems to have gone suddenly, I can only get a flight two weeks later (which is no good because my daughter would be back at school and we've booked a villa already, but it would be a good price), or I can pay full price.

Terrific. The holiday is now going to cost me about £1000 more. Thanks a lot, Airmiles. I'll be sure to not bother in the future.

Part miles part cash is still there, but may not be available on your dates, perhaps consider other airports in Florida to travel to.

Yes, that's what I meant, if not what came across. We could get part-miles a couple of weeks later, but that's no good as it would mean DD missing school, which they simply won't allow. I'm not sure if I'd really want her to miss it anyway. The first few days of a new school year are quite important. Shame, because that is actually a really good deal. About 6000 miles and about £600 (total) for all 4 of us.

No other airports with our preferred dates anywhere in the US, really.
