Nationwide free money and log in issues

Been a nationwide wide customer for over 15 years blue cant remember who long of that time I been with them, used them when I lived in uk moving money back and forth with other uk accounts, in 2013 I moved to Australia and again I used it often spending money in my nationwide account overseas as well as using most of it eventually and maybe for past few years had very minimal in it just enough to keep the account open.
Feels like not that long ago but probably that nationwide had been paying money into account after all these years never got anything probably cause I don’t or have hardly used it in a while and probably as it’s almost dry but the years I did use it had heaps in it.

i never had issues before getting logged into the account as I had my card reader and if that was then you could log into account I’m sure without it by providing other info, i believe that feature has gone.
its by card reader or by app with being in  Australia you can’t get the app and I think other method was using your phone number which has to be a uk number.

i was just interested to see any any payments was paid in this time and possibly just maybe use the account again for other purposes, I tried new batteries in my car reader but never made difference just said error not sure if it’s the card reader or my chip has issues.

just curious how I can get online to check and use this method until I deal with either a new card or reader later as maybe have family coming over later in year and can take both a new card and reader with them.

is it’s always going to be nationwide or is it changing to virgin? How do my know my account will still be ok it’s a flexi from back in the day.

but bd nice to log in and see some free cash but I know it ain’t going to be there which sucks as never got anything free from then since day one yet people are opening accounts just to get it and i believe are.

Your post is hard to follow but you could try calling Nationwide and check your balances and transactions on the phone. I'm guessing you haven't told it that you've moved abroad?

Do you have a card reader from another bank? Many use the same type so you could try your card in another one.

Are Nationwide aware that you are no longer a UK resident ?

Assuming Android system, then if the app is geoblocked then create a Google account with location set to UK, log in using that account and you'll be able to access it.  You can change the location on your existing account but Google only allow this once a year IIRC so you may not want to do that.

Your post is almost completely incomprehensible, you're much more likely to get useful feedback if you ask clear questions. After reading your post five times I think you are just asking how to access a Nationwide account from Australia. If so then why not just phone them and ask?

I get into my Nationwide account via a web browser using numbers from my passnumber and then validate with a code sent to mobile phone. no app. no card reader. maybe it will be a problem with the phone being in Australia ?

re free money - sometimes the free money was only given if you used the account a specific number of times over a certain period

Because as far as I am aware they are not paying the £50 & £100 to foreign located accounts.

Has your card expired? That would likely cause the reader to show an error.

Nationwide definitely won't be rebranding to Virgin. The existing Virgin branding will be removed from Clydesdale Bank within four years.
