Hi. Sorry for what is probably a silly question, but despite having data, I can't access the internet away from home unless I sign in on someone's wi fi. I am with Lebara and use an Android phone. My data is on and airplane mode off. The only thing I have noticed is the APN is Vodafone. I'm not really tech savvy, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Lebara is hosted on Vodafone, so thats not totally unexpected.
Although my Lebara phone is showing the APN as
    Lebara Internet
    uk.lebara.mobi

So has this phone/sim combination worked OK in past or is this a new set up

You will be getting it at home as you're connected to your own wifi.
To set up Lebara for internet follow the guide below from bob_a_builder

     EDIT removed French link.

That links seems to be French version ? not sure if that matters

    Uk version

"If your phone hasn’t automatically updated the mobile internet settings, check your APN settings manually.

Go to your phone’s internet settings and check the following details are correct:
    APN name: uk.lebara.mobi
    Username: WAP
    Password: WAP

Lebara would have sent a configuration text to you too which would have changed the settings by clicking a link or install button.

Try taking the SIM out (with the phone off) and putting it back in (and restarting the phone) and see if they resend the configuration text.
