AMAZON RETURNS BEING SENT TO MY ADDRESS

Last year I ordered something from Amazon which I later returned with no problem.  After that I have received about 20 of that item and a thirty or so other items.  I realised that these items were coming from all different people who thought they were returning their item to Amazon.  All the labels were the same as Amazon labels.  I read somewhere this may be a Chinese company who doesn’t have an office here, which apparently they should have to collect returns and send them back all at once, and they just use an address instead of someone they have sold to.   was filling in the form online at Amazon giving the tracking number everytime and although it says on the form someone will be in touch Amazon have not contacted me at all.  I have also been on ‘chat’ and passed from pilled to post getting nowhere.
I contacted Action Fraud who said the can’t do anything about it. I also went back on the Amazon page showing I had purchased the original item and  went to ask the seller and sent a message saying I was reporting him to action Fraud for using my address.  The parcels stopped for a while but have now started again. Elsewhere I read it might be glitch in Amazons software.  I know it’s sounds petty as I can just throw the stuff away but this seriously affecting me mentally.  I go away a few days and come and parcels have been delivered to my neighbours or left in my doorstep so it’s obvious I’m not home.  My latest thought is this a breach of GDPR on Amazons part because all the people sending back parcels have my address because of Amazon.   If so I would be able to go down that route to get it stopped. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Remove your payment option from Amazon. It does sound strange that you should keep receiving parcels you haven't ordered or sold. Maybe someone has used your address to return items to instead of their own. Amazon isn't as reliable as it was, and I would probably close it once you're certain it's not at your cost. Is it just your address and not in your name?

It’s my name and address.  Action suggested closing account but it’s such a faff because I’ve  got Alexa, music, prime and photos all under this account. As it started from buying something and then  receiving a lot of returns from different people I’m thinking that Amazon is responsible for breach if GDPR as that’s wher3 whoever this is got my address but I don’t know enough about GDPR if this counts as that.

Keep everything your sent throw them in a box are you opening everything that has been sent or just leaving them.  I would say try Social media accounts but they're mostly bots and repeat links. Are there any other addresses on it or if you've opened them any further information.

Oh, reset the password also and resubmit the address if you're not closing the account.

Can I suggest you contact managingdirector@amazon.co.uk by email and ask them to help and compensate you.
It's hard to tell what's exactly happening here, if it is directly Amazon's fault. Chat can be helpful but this is beyond their knowledge so they probably won't get you anywhere.

A few questions to ask to help get to the bottom of it for you (I'm a long time Amazon seller and know a fair bit of how it works):
    Are the items all similar?
Are the boxes coming from Amazon, somewhere else, or are they returns?
Are they coming from one courier or different ones.
Do you have any images of any product barcodes, I'd be looking for an ASIN barcode. They are usually narrower barcodes printed on a label attached to the item itself. Failing that a few different product barcodes.
Feel free to private message me if you don't want to post more details here.

Thank you all for your I’m going to have at suggestions next week.  Interestingly I received 3 parcels today and inside one was a customs declaration and the sender address in China.  The senders name is
1PX  or 4PX Express UK Co Ltd.  I think the sender is sending these via this company which seems to a carrier company.  I looked them up here and they then use Royal or other carriers to distribute once here.

If they're addressed to you you can eventually keep/resell them under the Unsolicited Goods Act. It might be worth contacting CAB and seeing what they'd advise.
