eBay App & Postage glitch / bug

Be careful making any revisions via the eBay app...
I did quite a few this morning and afterwards I noticed it had changed all of my postage preferences to simple delivery with weight limits which did not make sense; One changed from under 2kg to under 10kg and isn't allowing me to change it back.
I suspect it is after their switch to Simple delivery being applied from 15th April

The bot doing the eBay-recommended cost and weight is making mistakes, especially if you use specific services, and its alternatives are showing errors. Listing and sending needs checking, but it's opting people into what it believes is correct.1

Have you tried using the website? I've just tapped revise listing and if I select simple delivery I get options for 1kg, 2kg, 15kg, and 20kg. I don't see a 10kg option at allred_boots2 said:Be careful making any revisions via the eBay app...

From the various views people are seeing when they look at SD it suggests the roll out is going as bad as many of us feared. Ebay have already extended the implementation with an as yet unspecified end date for all private sellers to be switched, now it appears to be glitching for some people as well.
I've just tried a couple of dummy listings in the various collectable categories and I also don't have a 10kg option, mine goes from 1 kg then 2kg, to 15kg then 20kg . I wonder if there are different limits in different categories- although that wouldn't allow for the fact that I am being offered much bigger weights.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The item I tried actually weighs about 40g, the ebay default option is 2kg, with options for 100g large letter, 1, 2, 15, and 20kg. Maybe they expect me to use a lot of packaging?soolin said:From the various views people are seeing when they look at SD it suggests the roll out is going as bad as many of us feared. I know everyone has different experiences with each carrier and a preferred one, but I am frustrated at not having the Yodel option anymore as in my experience they were both the cheapest and most reliable.0 -
Strange you just mentioned Yodel, I have just been to drop off 2 Yodel parcels for items I sold on Vinted. The usual shop is no longer taking Yodel, he’s now doing DHL and says he hopes to be taking Evri in future, that leaves me with one local garage if I’m out in my car, and one local shop in town that has already mis scanned 2 of my items in the past and lost another incoming one. The shop owner is also a bit grumpy about Yodel , he tells me he now takes RM and he prefers them if I want to swap as it suits him better.red_boots2 said:

Found another one this morning... If I switch from 'buyer pays' to 'seller pays' postage the price jumps up despite the fact the courier and weight do not change.0
