Morning everyone
Sorry I've not managed to get on since I got home Tuesday afternoon...I don't know where the last couple of days have disappeared to!
Marrakesh was amazing - we saw some beautiful places but were shattered by the weekend, and my knee was so sore, so we changed our plans and spent the last couple of days in a hotel with a pool nearer to the airport...and lay on very comfy sunloungers with our books!
Little one was delighted to have me back - her and DD had spent a lovely week together with no poorly days, which was a relief.
However, the last two mornings, her blood sugars have dropped very quickly and she has collapsed on the floor, yesterday banging her head hard. Both times DD has taken her to our local hospital where they've kept her in for a couple of hours observation. then it's gone up so she's been allowed home. It happens so quickly that it doesn't register on her monitor so her alarm doesn't go off, which is very worrying. It has really frightened them both. DD has a phone appointment with her consultant this morning so she is hoping he will say to keep her on her feed longer in the mornings. She hasn't answered my text this morning, so I'm thinking it has probably happened again and they're back at the hospital.
Right best get on, I need to go down to mam and dads this morning to do the banking then I'm going to pop into town for an hour. I may have little one this afternoon, just have to see how she is.
I haven't read back yet...Gers, sitches? Did you have a fall?
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, yesterday the sun came out and I got a wash line dried and then put away last night. I also did some ironing !
The dw is on this morning and I have a sm delivery coming. A couple of items are OOS and there are 2 subs, but nothing I can't live without. I'll sort it out as there is some in there for Dad which I'll take to him later and then put it away. He won't be pleased his eggs are OOS but he says DD is taking him to Morries on Sat for lunch with his friends so he can buy some while he's there. Last night he said that he has another long list of items he needs yet when I ask him to make a list ready for me doing a shop he doesn't need much !! I hope he takes that list to Morries too, that'll save me from shopping again prematurely.
Yorks Lass Thanks I slept well last night, I seem to have a few days sleeping rather a lot, then several with very little, I can't seem to regulate it. Well done on the prep, it always seems to take longer than the actual decorating !
Suffolksue good luck with the pre op.
dp1 sorry to read about DGD again, she's such a trooper bless her.
Maikdonmend welcome.
RedRuby eww to the chicken !
Remmie I'm not a morning person, not even as a child.
Have a good day all, hugs available if needed.
nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
I'm now stitch-free. Wound looks clean, no oozing.@DP1 - no, no fall! I had minor surgery last week to remove a very annoying benign lump from my back.PS - almost forgot! The medication vending machine was brilliant. Put in my code and the packet dropped down into the tray. The flanges holding the door shut from the inside disappeared downwards and my meds were retrieved. I spoke to the pharmacist, she was delighted with my feedback and said she's been really heartened by the way the community has embraced this new technology. She expected grumps and groans but not one. I think it's because we are rural and remote with lots of others much more remote than me. Happy day!11

Just popping back in while I have a much needed breather with a lemon & ginger tea.
@Ruby - It's amazing how Easter eggs, plants etc grow legs and jump into the basket!Never mind, enjoy.
Welcome home @dp1. Glad you had a good holiday although it's a shame about your knee. I hope DD and DGD haven't had to go to the hospital again.
I've never really been a morning person either @nanny - more of a night owl. And I like total silence for half an hour or so when I first get up - no conversation, no radio etc. And yes, the prep is a pain but at least I won't have to paint the ceiling - DS will book a couple of days off work to do that and the woodwork.
@Gers - Good that your wound is doing fine. The medication vending machine sounds wonderful - happy day indeed!Be kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Also popping back
Yorks Lass - no they didn't have to go back to the hospital this morning. I've had her here since lunch time, she decided this afternoon she wanted to stay for a sleepover so she's fast asleep...hopefully her sugars will stay level and her alarm will stay quiet!
DD has spoken to her consultant and she's on a new feeding regime, basically on her pump for longer after she wakes up, so fingers crossed it will help.
Time for a cuppa x4
