@TravelCrystal and @C_J - thankyou both for your kind and inspiring words. I've had a good look at my recent receipts and with a bit of creativity have managed to allocate the enormous sum of £58.50 to other budgets.
That means that my GC total going forward is down to £125.81/£150 which means I'm back in the game so thankyou for that.
So, of course, I have a couple of spends to declare which are £1.95 at M*rks for yoghurt and £3.61 at Mr T's for 4x milk, ys bold beans and ys panini.
That makes my new GC total £131.37/£150 which is still a bit eye watering so it's lots of digging in the freezer and larder from now on and I'm going to sow an extra row each of all the salad bits at my allotment to give me baby leaves as well.
The Baking Budget has had some of the items from my receipts added to it and now stands at £8.85/£10 but I have a lot of supplies in and with only two Wednesdays to go this month I think I might just scrape by there.

@PipneyJane - I also read your post as if you were using the bog roll as a direct substitute for the Sunday Times and was wondering how much worse the paper had become since I last read it! Did give me a giggle when I realised my mistake."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

This weeks spend is £55.22, which rounds this month's spend so far up to £140.00. With only 12 days left this month it should be doable (famous last words)!

£36.00 left.
£2.65 at the Asian Mart on a 500g tub of gochujang which I think was a good price.
£4.54 in Waitr*se. Had to go to get OH bread as he needs it for tomorrows work lunch (he used the last of his bread for todays lunch) but is at work all day today so wouldn't be able to get it before the shops shut. While I was there I saw reduced vegan sushi and a reduced vegan sandwich so bought them. I'm at (what I hope to be) the end of a harsh flare up of my condition so going out took a lot of 'spoons' so when I saw an easy meal for not too bad a price I thought it was a good option. OH would easily have spent £5+ on food tomorrow if I hadn't gone out for the bread so it's a slight win.
£281.18/£310.
£28.81 left.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy5 -
Morning all, hope everyone is well. I did my big shop yesterday at Aldi instead of getting a delivery. Not sure it made much of a difference to the cost but I did stock up on squash as that’s something that’s definitely nicer and cheaper there. Also bought pizzas for my sons birthday next week a that’s what he’s requested and a chocolate birthday cake for us to celebrate my nans birthday, she’s no longer with us but the kids like to blow birthday candles out for her, this will be second birthday without her here. Hopefully I won’t have to buy anything else until next week now but I’m sure there will be something as usual

Howdy. £20.95 spent at M & S today for various fruit, a lamb curry, a curry dhal, a YS pasta meal, a block of cheddar, and milk. I'm kicking myself for not taking meat out of the freezer this morning or last night. I could have saved bout £12 in tv dinners off that M & S tab. Phooey.
£335.43 / £325 spent. £10.43 over budget.
That may be it for this week at least from my end. I’ll be heading out of town from Thursday – Sunday and hopefully there’s enough food for Mr. Jings to keep his hands in his pockets while I’m gone.
That said, I’m going to do a Morrisons order for when I return on Sunday evening. I’ll try to keep that to about £50 – £60.

Evening all,
I am popping on to declare another spend from Sunday before l lose the receipt.
I spent £20.32 at Asda for squash, bread, milk, bannanas, blueberries, free range eggs, tin of tuna, a large block of cheese and doritos for todays chilli.
New totals £327 / £470
Budget has been steady this month, however I did do a big shop at the end of April which has given me a heads start. Still over a week to go and with kids off school and play dates etc l could easily overspend.
Need to make a considered list to get us through to next Friday and stick to it !!
