I spent another £3.05 on parsley, chillies and blueberries yesterday. I'm going to try a few recipes from a cookbook I picked up at a free book exchange last week and the parsley and chillies were the only ingredients I didn't already have.
Up to £10.18/£200 so far5 -
Hi, I’ve had to increase my budget from £200 to £250, my husband is terminally ill and is now struggling to eat normal food so I’ve had to buy soft foods such as ready made mash, ice cream, custard, rice puddings, you get the idea. I will update my spends in a day or two.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***14

Another NSD for me today. I've made a cauliflower, pasta and mixed veg in cheese sauce thing for tonight and tomorrow. It's baking in the Ninja now and it smells lovely.
I have more than enough food in the fridge and freezer, incl milk, butter and dog food so won't need to go shopping until early next week.8 -
May Budget £5 a day, £155
Sorry to have been MIA. It does save a lot to shop as infrequently as possible, and at Aldi rather than the local superstores, getting just the essentials, and home as soon as possible. My bank statement shows £93 spent on groceries in April, and then there was the extra milk DH bought. Thank goodness for the freezer and store cupboard. DH added the orange squash for the bowls club!
3rd May. This lot was £23.16.
Co-op milk £3.10Total £26.26
