When is the WS deadline. ? 31st March ?

When is the pencilled in hearing date ?14th April ?

Have DCB Legal. ( not DCBL ) sent you a WS on behalf of the claimant parking company ?

Did DCB Legal pay the hearing fee a month ago. ?

Check your email inbox and spam folders for their N279 discontinuation document

  • To confirm, I have not received any confirmation of payment (how could I check this?) I've checked all email inboxes on a daily basis since the 6th of March - they had until the 20th of March to pay - not had any correspondence to say otherwise.

Phone the court tomorrow ASAP ( your court, not the CNBC in Northampton. )

Doesn't seem that both parties have not done the WS and sent to the others or to the court, failures all round

More likely that they have already discontinued, and not paid the hearing fee either

The court will probably tell you that the hearing is vacated

  • Well I hope you're right! Surely I should've received something that would have informed me of this? Although, it wouldn't surprise me - I received a letter at the beginning of March from the court dated 27/01/26.

Is it still worth finalising my WS with the potential outcome that the hearing will go ahead?

You should prepare a WS, latest example was by @JackR1

  • Couldn't get through to the court, but checked the court service and my case is on the timetable. I assume it is still going ahead.

Really don't know what my options are - thinking about just setting out of court. Would that be my best bet at this point? Or, complete a witness statement and bring it in tomorrow with an apology?

Have the lawyers or Parking Company sent you their WS. ?

Both sides had the same deadline

  • No WS from the lawyers or Parking Company. The letter I received with my court date is dated 6/03/26 - since that, I have not received anything to do with the case.

I don't know why you are panicking. Why did you think you'd failed but they hadn't?

They ALWAYS DISCONTINUE ParkingEye ones (we told you this) and the fact you haven't received a WS shows they aren't proceeding. Totally as expected.

But you can't just not attend the hearing. Please ring your local court to ask why the hearing hasn't been vacated yet AND email DCB Legal telling them you'll claim your costs if they don't email you a copy of the NoD this week, by return.

Then show us the NoD. You knew it would end this way. The hearing won't happen!
