I'm a complete novice with shares, so apologies in advance!
I have a few Lloyds Bank shares (from the Margaret Thatcher era) that I want to sell, to simplify things for those dealing with my affairs when I die. They are held by Equiniti Shareview, and I can see them in an online account. They are the only shares held there.
Equiniti charge a lot to sell a small holding. So I have opened a share dealing account at iWeb, where I also have online access, and I want to transfer the shares from Equiniti to iWeb. I assumed I did this by requesting iWeb to initiate a transfer. However, when I click on transfer, it offers possibilities of transferring a SIPP, a share dealing account, and so on, but not shares themselves.
Am I going about this wrongly? Or would my Equiniti Shareview account be classed as a share dealing account? Or what else do I do?
Many thanks for any suggestions you can offer!

From IWeb,
Transferring an ISA or Share Dealing Account
How it works
- Simply sign in and complete our online transfer form.
- Once your transfer is complete you’ll be able to see your investments online straight away, we'll also send you a letter to let you know it’s done.
- You won't be charged to transfer in or out of IWeb.

Have you asked Equiniti if they will charge a lower amount for a small shareholding?
I sold my 657 Lloyd's shares last year and they only charged me £10.0
