No longer eligible for pension credit

I am writing this on behalf of my father.

He has been receiving pension credit for the last 7 months. Recently came into a sum of money. We have contact DWP on the date he received it and informed them of the change, they have confirmed that he will no longer be eligible and they will suspend payments and close the account.

4 working days later he received another payment for PC. Is this correct?

It’s been 2 weeks and we haven’t received anything confirming claim closure.
Is it normally a letter he will receive confirming or will they need anything else?
He’s just very concerned about any over payments. He lives alone far from me and doesn’t deal with these things well.

Thank you

Pension credit is paid in arrears so chances are he is entitled to all or most of that payment he has received.  Nothing happens quickly at the moment with DWP so I would wait and see for a few more weeks, if he receives another payment after that one then contact them.

As stated above, it's in arrears, so the payment just received would be from mid-March. So four weeks behind.
