Octopus Not Paying Ombudsman Award

As of today Octopus have still not paid the sums directed by the Ombudsman decision of 11th March 2025. To be honest I think it's a misunderstanding rather than actual refusal. However it's been pointed out to them by the Ombudsman case handler at least once, and by me several times by email and by phone.

Email is simply ignored. On the telephone the agents just say they don't deal with Ombudsman matters, that's with the "Complaint Handler", a more or less mythical person who doesn't appear to actually do anything.

It's only £40 but I don't see why Octopus shouldn't pay it.

Octopus have become just awful since they became too big, as my personal expereince with them, that they took 8 weeks to get my credit refunded, as it seems their taking money department is faster than their refund and complaints dealing department, almost to the point of deliberately being a obstacle when the consumer has any issues.

Maybe you should contact the Ombudsman again.
