Mediation Call - another win!

Having followed the amazing advice provided here...

I today had my mediation call with DCB legal for national parking control group.

I parked over a white line in david lloyd gym - their receptionist took a photo and sent it in to nation parking... £170 "PCN" plus costs left me with a £260 court claim.

Interestingly he option with a £210 offer before i said anything...

I gave a very breif 3 points about my case to the mediator and said at best i'd offer a token gesture to make this go away today of £10.

they said £135
I said £15
they said £100
i said £20
they said £60
i said £20
they said £35
i said final £25
they said £35 lowest and final
i said £30
they said £35 is the lowest they will do or we go to court.

I agreed... for £35 it's not worth the time going to court plus prep and from what the mediator said that was the lowest they would budge to.

All took about 20 mins.

It would not have gone to court, but as you say it's still a win - would have cost them much more that £35 in costs.

Yep this is a win. They made nothing as £35 is just the claim filing fee.
