What's this referring to? I cant understand what the "discount" is referring to other than the £5. So Club Lloyds will be a fee paying account?
Of course being an idiot I've probably missed the obvious!

Where did you get that screen grab from? I can't see anything on the lloyds site.

    Which states:

From 2 June 2025, we're increasing the Club Lloyds monthly fee to £5 per month. We'll continue to waive this for each month you pay in £2,000 or more.

    (from https://www.lloydsbank.com/current-accounts/all-accounts.html)

If their 'continue' means just for one month it's a bit cheeky to say 'continue'.  So maybe the 'discount' is something else?

I have a CL account and take Disney. I was just looking at the options on OHs account who has just a basic account. If you click apply/current accounts/club Lloyds options it's on that page.
Can't find any other references to it.

Hmmm nothing about this in my letter that I received, only said fee is going up from June but can still be waived by £2k being paid in.

Perhaps you had an offer for a discounted club Lloyds monthly fee if you didn’t pay in the amount to waive the fee? Or do you have an account with insurances on it, that you are currently receiving a discount on but will no longer get in August? As to me the bit in bold reads as something separate to the club Lloyds fee.

Just checked via my app too as above was from OH. Same on mine if you follow the trail as above. I'm just on standard CL paying 2000 in per month.

Thanks. Yes, I can see it there too. Unclear what it means!

But I would think that a change that removed the monthly waiver for existing accounts would need them to give some notice. And we haven't, afaik, had such notice (as it would be discussed at length here if we had), so either it isn't about the monthly waiver or if it is, perhaps, is only (for now) for new club accounts?

It is a generic message on the app, on the section about applying for a club account, not targeted to individuals, so nothing to do with personal or existing offers.

I believe that if you paid more than £5000 per month into a Club Lloyds Silver or Platinum account, they gave you an additional £2 discount on top of the £3 fee waiver. I understand they are removing the £2 discount if you pay in more than £5k, but the £3 fee waiver will remain if you pay in more than £2k.

It appears that the message has been removed, certainly from the place I saw it.
jbrassy probably on the right track.

Yes, that wording has vanished in the last few hours! Possibly due to MSE's querying by MSE_Petar? And yes, probably jbrassy was correct in their diagnosis of what it was about. So probably nothing for us to worry about. It might be worth, if that's the case, editing the thread title a bit.
