Reconfirm Free Childcare

Hi my little boy started nursery at the end of February this year and I was given my 10 digit code for the free childcare on 5th February.
I received an email from the government this morning telling me I have to reconfirm all my details by 20th May to continue getting the free childcare. I was aware already I have to do this every 3 months.
However when I logged into my account there was no option for me to reconfirm anything. I managed to get through to speak to someone on the government helpline and they suggested because I only got my code on 5th February, the earliest date I can reconfirm would be 5th May but he was a bit vague about that.
Can anyone on here help who has done this before? Does it sound right that I have to leave it more or less exactly 3 months before I can reconfirm?

To keep getting free childcare, you must reconfirm your eligibility by signing in to your childcare account every 3 months. If you apply more than 3 months before the term starts, you'll have to reconfirm your eligibility in your account in order to keep your code valid.

Yes, you will receive a reminder: You can also ask the care provider but it will be
- the first email reminder is sent 4 weeks before reconfirmation is due
- a further reminder is sent 2 weeks before reconfirmation is due
- a notification is sent on the deadline date of reconfirmation to notify you that your eligibility for funded childcare for working parents has stopped and asking you to confirm your details as soon as possible

using your Government Gateway ID to reconfirm. The dates between which you should reconfirm will be displayed when you log in.
