Help with CPM No Permit Kings Cross Private Parking Ticket – Parked on Pavement, Didn’t See Sign

Hi everyone,
I’ve just received a Parking Charge Notice from UK Car Park Management (CPM) regarding an incident on the 11th of April 2025, at 21:23, at Camley Street, London N1C 4PF. According to the notice, I parked my vehicle on private land “in breach of the terms and conditions,” as there was supposedly “No Permit.”
To explain the situation: I parked on the pavement directly in front of a building complex, around 1 to 2 feet away from the pavement edge. At the time, I genuinely didn’t see any signage indicating parking restrictions or that the area was private. It was dark, and the spot didn’t look like a traditional private car park.
After receiving the notice, I checked the location on Google Earth and, admittedly, there is a sign visible – about 7 feet away from where I parked. However, in the moment, it just didn’t register, and I didn’t think I was doing anything wrong.
The fine is £100, but if I pay within 14 days, it's reduced to £60. I’d really rather not risk having to pay the full £100 if an appeal doesn’t work, but I’d still like to explore my options and see if it’s worth challenging.
Has anyone had success appealing under similar circumstances? Should I appeal now or just pay the reduced fee and move on? Any advice or template letters would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Please see below for photos. I parked on the far end of the bicycle racks, just near the building corner.

Don't pay at all. Why would you even think about paying
You don't owe them anything. Please remove this whole "paying thing" from your head1 -
If you do appeal, they reject it, so dont think that an appeal will result in a cancellation, it wont
I cannot see a period of parking on the NTK PCN letter, or by using the picture timestamps either
An appeal is useful if there are good grounds, such as a valid legal point, and poor and inadequate signage, unlit signage , no landowner authority etc
So although your case may have merit in court, I doubt that any appeal will succeed, not with an IPC AOS member
But, I am not telling you to pay, far from it1 -
As this is London where parking on the pavement is banned it wouldn't be relevant land; so, no POFA.2

And UKCPM PCNs have no period of parking.
You will NEVER have to pay this but there's no appeal (it's a kangaroo court).
How many minutes between all the photos they have online, @tyronejiggles ?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
