I have a Nuair drimaster Eco, it could’ve been installed 10 to 15 years ago or could be as new as five years I’ve no way of knowing
About 18 -24 months ago just stopped working and as I don’t have a condensation issue, I never bothered investigating.

I recently investigated and I found the following.
installation- it’s installed in the loft. The base unit is not screwed down to the floorboard. Looks like it was fixed to something at some point. Maybe the loft was boarded out and it was not re-secured but it is secured to a beam with a thin piece of rope and a hook so it doesn’t move around. The power suppliy goes to a single white fused box attached to a vertical piece of wood which is them wired into the house not sure which circuit it is on. it’s been installed without any on off switch and there is no on-off switch on the device itself, a kettle lead connects to the fan/heating element in the ceiling.
I noticed the main unit was making a low humming noise but the fan was not working. I took the cover off the fan to see a single red zero LED. I found some instructions online about resetting the device which I could only do by turning the whole power on and off at the distribution board. This reset the device and after it went through an after it went through a sequence of lights, allowed me to set the fan speed. The device was working again for about 24 hours then again had the red zero and stopped working. I repeat repeated with the same results, and same again today. Seems to run for 24 to 36 hours before stopping

I also noticed this device has a heating element and a second temperature control, I set this to Max for a while and then Min when it was running and it does not seem to have any effect the air coming out is noticeably cool when the fan spend is set above two or three regardless.
Any idea what could be wrong with this device & what I need to do and should I be securing it to the loft floor boards and installing a on off switch? do these need any regular maintenance
Thanks

It's still a current model, so I would expect Nuair would be able to offer some advice about getting it repaired. I would consider sending it away to them if they offer a repair service.
It does need to be fixed down, but some rubber mounts would be best to avoid noise being transmitted to the structure. If it can be repaired, get an electrician to trace the circuit it is on and fit an isolator before reconnecting it.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1 -
Nuair should be able to assist if you contact them. As for fixing, when we had one, I hung it off a purlin rather than screwing it down. If it's fixed to the floor, you could get vibrations through to the ceiling below so it's recommended to hang it if possible.0

Do you have the operating instructions? Are there any filters in the unit? If so, have you checked them?Any indication in the manual of what the error lights could indicate? Do the instructions suggest any user-checks or routine maintenance? If not, then this is almost certainly beyond anyone on here guiding you through a fix.0
