Shortcut problem on laptop

Just the other day I noticed that the shortcut keys Ctrl+home and Ctrl+end have stopped functioning. I haven't changed anything so would appreciate any advice on how to restore these functions please.

And Ctrl-prt sc is also not working  - used it yesterday! 

I've done a reboot and a restart to no avail.

Check that you haven't set some kind of function lock to on

Tried that - the FN lock key is on the esc key - then there's a series of F keys but no dedicated FN key.

EDIT - found an FN key next to Ctrl - will try that!

Fabulous - thanks - I pressed the FN and lock keys and all is well. Happy day so huge thanks again.
