Hi there,

Curious to know if anyone else is waiting for their credit card to arrive? I signed the agreement on 7 April and still nothing through the post, that seems awfully longer than I would have expected. Not sure if it's just an isolated experience or if others are also waiting?

Thanks

Ten working days is pretty much the standard timeframe for card delivery. With Easter weekend in the mix too.

Well I called them and they had some sort of technical issue which means they haven't processed the application any further. So looks like waiting any longer was not going to resolve it.

Marks and Spencer (M&S) says it has been dealing with a "cyber incident" affecting some of its services over the last few days.

The UK retailer said its Click and Collect service had been impacted by technical issues along with its ability to collect contactless payments - with many customers taking to social media to complain about delays.

M&S chief executive Stuart Machin apologised to customers in a note on Tuesday.

Marks and Spencer don't own or administer the M&S credit card. The credit card is provided by M&S Bank which is part of HSBC.

next working day for an AMEX card to arrive typically, these other providers could do well to learn from them!

Seems like you have other issues going on in the background with your M&S application other than simply waiting for a card to arrive. It is possibly best to email them via their customer services route, that way there's a trail/record....
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing

Message them on X, when I applied it wasn’t an easy process. Applications are actually processed abroad. I messaged them on X and it was sorted in 2 days.

Good suggestion, I did call their applications team and they said they'd escalate it as they couldn't find a reason for the delay. Sounded like typical HSBC to me!
