Bath shower combo for a small bathroom space

I'm thinking of replacing my current shower unit but want the option of taking a shower as well as a bath.
Does anyone have any recommendations on brands & what sort of cost Id incur when getting it installed.
I'm on quite a tight budget & bathroom not 1 of my refurb priorities.

If it's a tight budget try looking at builders merchants online as they usually have basic but perfectly smart ranges of bathroom basics.
You can always dainty it up with the bits and pieces.
Also bathroom suppliers have a wider variety of basics. They have a wide variety of taps too.
Tiles or board on the wall?
Basic white from builder merchants cheap. I added a mosaic strip in those for a bit of bling.
Bathroom mirror doesn't have to be a super lit one. I had one made with a wooden frame because the light in there was fine. Too good now I'm getting older 😏
I also had a good look around second hand shops.
That saves a lot.
You can also look for sale times
The budget will depend on what you choose to put in, where the plumbing is and if you want to change that.
The more accurate you can be if you can draw a plan or 'vision' of what you want and the items you want the better for costing.
If you can remove the current fittings to the tip yourself that can save a bit
I paid over £5000 for removal, disposal of old bathroom and installation of new with half new walls plastering, tiling and refitting.
Then about £1500 for fittings and bath
It's a tiny bathroom.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Price would vary depending on whether any pipes need to be moved/changed or not. Victorian Plumbing are pretty good if you want nicer stuff, but the likes of Screwfix or Toolstation do very basic white stuff. I'd get 2 quotes at least from someone who comes recommended. Don't rely on Checkatrade or companies like that, as they do not vet or care about who comes up as recommended0
