Parking charge

I checked my bank account today, there is a £2.40 charge for parking in the center of Leeds. I haven't been to Leeds this month.
I was looking at a payment for £2 from a local bar, which I have never been in; but then I worked out that I paid £2 for a tea in a local community room, it must have been the same account.
I do have a poor memory, but I cannot account for this £2.40. It states it was a contactless payment. I did look at the Leeds City Council banking app, because I was thinking about visiting a local park, but I didn't do anything with the app and the payment says contactless.
Its only £2.40, but its concerning that a mistake has been made. My card is in my wallet and I dont use my smartphone as a bank card.
My guess is, this is a banking issue?

How can you tell just by looking at the transaction in your banking app the parking was in the centre of Leeds? That's likely just where the head office is, it could have been anywhere within the local authority, even as far out as Wetherby.4

If it was a parking app the £2 will be the parking fee the 40p will be the add on for using a third party to pay it.But nothing else you have written makes much sense, only you can research this further, but yes small amounts taken by scammers can be a trial for bigger amounts to be taken later. As a precaution you could get your card cancelled and replaced.2

Have you got Google Maps on your phone? Look at your history and see where you went.
As an aside, and don't take this the wrong way, if you are forgetful should you be driving?2 -
IPS stands for Integrated Planning ServicesParking here starts from £4 for the first hour. so it cannot be that.Your app should give a reference which could be quoted to the payee to find out exactly what it is for.Try info@victorialeeds.co.uk
