Good Value Parking Ltd

Hi. Been looking through the forums for this one as I am not sure what to do. Based on my last success, I know how to appeal when receiving an NTK however, my wife received a DCB Legal Ltd letter which is stating the creditor to be Good Value Parking Ltd. I have tried searching for Good value parking on google and can't find a website for them or any car parks. My wife does not recall going to any car parks either. There is no date of the alleged incident on the letter. It has a parking charge reference and asking to pay £170. Based on the advice on here, we are told to ignore DCBL letters but not DCBL Legal + we are told to ignore after the NTK if I am not mistaken?

However, on this occasion no NTK was received so I feel like we have grounds to send a complaint/appeal?

How can I do this. I appreciate the advice in advance or if you can, please direct me to the right thread.

Thank you.

Is that DCB Legal letter,  a Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice   ?

Post a redacted picture of it,  no personal details,  leave the dates showing

Good Value Parking is listed on the BPA AOS MEMBERS LIST

Even though no NTK was sent through the post, all that has been received is this one letter. So we have no idea where this was?

Correct,  ignorance is bliss, at this time you don't need to know   ( remember,  curiosity killed the cat  )

You cannot truthfully state that no pcn was sent through the post, you have no idea about that aspect,  only that you never received a  pcn in the post

If you need to know the details in the future,  we will tell you when

Meanwhile,  check the V5c document is up to date,  especially if you have moved since the incident date

Is the lack of NTK possibly due to the keeper failing to update the address in the V5c? Or the date of parking was maybe around the time of a house move and the DVLA gave the eejits the old address?

That's the usual reason for not receiving a PCN and only later being traced by a motley crew of debt recovery time wasters.

Do NOT ask for more details but if an old address was in play, the keeper will need to put that right with the DVLA and also tell DCB Legal and the PPC to 'erase the old address' (see the example wording for that in the LBC response in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok thanks, will ignore. Address is up to date on the v5c. No letters were sent to her previous address either, just this one DCBL letter which is why it was confusing

I don’t even know when the incident occurred. My wife does not recall it either. There are no details to find out like which car park etc..

As far as I am aware, the current address is on the v5c, moved in 2023. Only this DCBL letter came at our current address and no NTK or other letters sent to my wife’s old address.

If it goes further,  then eventually all will be revealed,  but dont let curiosity mean that you make mistakes,  at the moment that ignorance assists you,  because once told,  it cannot be untold,  so let that enlightenment be at a point in the future,  should it need to be

At the moment you both have plausible denial

Get it out and check. We suggest it's not.
