The Green Dragon Inn at Hardraw epitomises a traditional North Country pub. It lies at the heart of the Dales farming community of Hardraw in Wensleydale and is popular with locals and visitors who are drawn to its old-world charm and down-to-earth ‘Yorkshire welcome’.

Hardraw is a small rural hamlet near the bustling market town of Hawes and the inn lies on the Pennine Way so is a popular destination for walkers and country lovers. England's highest single-drop waterfall, Hardraw Force, lies close behind it, a stunning backdrop used as a setting in the 1990s blockbuster Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves.

The interior of the inn, parts of which date from the late 13th Century, was the setting for the remake of the popular All Creatures Great and Small television series and it is not uncommon to see TV fans rubbing shoulders with farmers in the bar with a sheepdog dozing by the log-burning fire.

The inn is a popular choice for food and also offers a variety of newly-refurbished rooms from singles to self-catering suites with most of them being dog-friendly. The public rooms, with their stone floors and real fires, regularly host folk musicians while a recent refurbishment is Hardraw Hall, a large reception and entertainment space, ideal for weddings, conferences and live music.

Booking & Availability: The prize must be redeemed and taken before May 2026 and is subject to availability, offering choice of Deluxe Double with Ensuite; Standard King with Ensuite; Deluxe Twin Room with Ensuite.

Exclusions: The prize cannot be taken on Valentine's Day, Bank Holidays or other peak periods as determined by Green Dragon Inn Ltd.
