Morning all, wet here after a gorgeous day yesterday. We had a walk up to the park in the morning, and sat outside the cafe with a coffee, one was free due to my loyalty card
the back through the walled garde. We were stopped by 2 older men, one of whom seemed a bit grumpy as his pal said he thinks it's not as nice as it used to be.It is mainly run by volunteers now & I think thery do a pretty good job really but I suppose there isn't the money for loads of new plants.A beautiful magnolia tree has just finished blooming and azaleas have just come out. We've just chopped 1 of ourazaleas as it had stopped flowering.DH cleaned the bbq in readiness for good weather & has come up well. It had some rust on it despite the cover. Not be using it today, that's for sure.
Our roast lamb was lovely,& I've frozen 3 lots. Took some chicken out for later.Gers, good strategyLovely photo Allie.Taff, that sounded a tricky job-hope your ankle improves.Take care all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Hello all, it's raining here as well. Thankfully I got the washing almost dry yesterday but had to finish it off overnight in the spare bedroom.
I didn't have the best sleep last night as we had a disturbing phone call from our GNephew yesterday. It appears his step father did a moonlight flit while GN was working and has taken GN's half sister (13) and gone to live with another woman, leaving him alone in a 3 bed house. Sadly as it's a LA house he will now have to move out. He's 23 and seems to have his head screwed on but we still worry about him. He was a frequent visitor to our house from a baby and it's only just over 12months since his mum passed away plus his biological dad has been sectioned so will be no help or support. Sorry to burden you all too.
I have a form to fill in today, which I've been putting off, but it must be done and posted tomorrow. The lamb needs to be cut up and frozen plus the DW has finished so I must empty that and then the bins need to go out later. I've also started my new jigsaw so that's my afternoon sorted.
AA welcome back.
taff rest that ankle !!
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones.

@nanny - So sorry to hear you didn't have a good night's sleep and even sorrier to hear about your GN's situation that must have come as a shock. Sadly, LA's are very short of housing and most - if not all - have a one time tenancy succession policy; I hope they will be able to offer him something else - probably a one bedroom flat.Be kind to others and to yourself too.7

Good Evening
Enjoyed a quiet Easter Sunday. Went out with Ds2 to a local pub for a Sunday Roast. Was very nice. Brought some left over roast meat for little dog, which didn’t last very long and as I was full brought Eton Mess home to eat later.
Managed to speak to all family on FaceTime.
Today has been another slow day as when I seem to walk anywhere my shoulder feels very sore. Think we will have pizza for dinner.
Nanny how awful for DN & DNephew, hope they get sorted soon.Allie - love the photo - just stunning view.
Taff - slow down.
Redruby- hope you’ve enjoyed your long weekend.
Enjoy the rest of your day. Take care.7
