Best time to book airport parking

Hi. I know with flights, the price fluctuates. Is this the same with airport parking?

The official car parks at Gatwick get much more expensive close to the travel date, I`m sure the same is true for all of them.    Book early for tthe best prices.

Your planned travel date/airport of departure, might help garner better answers.

Gatwick for late July, would probably be busier and more expensive than Bournemouth for mid-November.

Sign up for airport emails to benefit from any early bird booking or discounted prices.

There always seems to be deals available on airport parking. Blue light card, credit card offers, emailed offers from the parking companies. The quoted prices are very soft and a bit of legwork often takes them down.

We used to get taxis or buses, but recently we've appreciated the convenience of walking straight out of the airport to our car.

We have found that early booking works best. We book as soon as we know our flights. We've had to make a couple of changes, a new vehicle, and a changed flight time, and we were not charged for these.

I haven't driven to the airport for a few years because there was very little price difference between the cost of driving and then parking, compared to a taxi.  I have nonetheless checked car park prices and they do generally seem to be higher the closer you get to travel dates.
I will seriously be looking at driving myself and parking because the cost of taxi has increased by 20% in the last year.

I generally fly from Birmingham and use the on site airport car parking. Bookings can be amended or cancelled virtually up to the day before you fly out so early booking is a no brainer. On a couple of occasions a better deal has come up after I've booked and I simply cancel and rebook without any problems. I'm signed up with the airport and regularly get promo codes from them.

Look at Neil49's advice above - my experience at Birmingham is the same. On site Car park 4 hits the sweet spot of cost vs convenience for me.
