Defaults and partial settlements

Hi,
I have a few debts that defaulted over 6 years ago and have therefore now dropped off my file recently. I have still been paying minimal payments towards these.
If I was to offer a partial settlement on these debts would that then show on my credit file as partially settled?
I am under the impression that since these defaulted over 6 years ago and have already dropped off my file, that the partial settlement won't show and therefore won't affect my current credit rating?
Thanks for help

One the debt has dropped off your credit report, it doesn't matter what you do, it won`t be reported on again.
I know that when you make settlement offers creditors state it will show as a partial settlement, but that only applies if the debt is still being reported, that statement is a generic line they use that will not apply to everyone.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
