Good morning, & Happy Easter, thanks Gers. It's a lovely morning here, not that warm yet though. After an early start for DGS football yesterday ( which was a good win & got their confidence up again) we had a lazy afternoon.I did all the curry bits, then we settled down to watch TV- @IzzyBee we watched Ep2 of Grace in the latest series last night & enjoyed it more than Ep1I've got a leg of lamb for later with some chicken for DS.There is still some trifle left for them too. I might make a sugar free pud for myself- will see how lazy I feel. I know DH wants to watch footie later.Hugs for anyone feeling lonely or sad today, & hope you all get some sunshine.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, thanks for starting the thread @Gers. Today's weather is supposed to be a repeat of yesterday - sunny intervals - but so far the sun is hiding. It must be having a lie in!
Yesterday I had a very leisurely day; the most strenuous thing I did was to change and wash the bedding which wasn't planned but I do love getting into a clean bed. I had a play with the new de-bobbler on two pairs of trousers (success) and then it was a day of reading, cross stitch, knitting and watching TV. I intend for today to be the same, minus any washing; the only "must do" is to read and send off the meter readings. Tea will be cooked gammon slices, baby potatoes and the last of the braised red cabbage that I'd made from the Xmas cheap veg. No Easter eggs here but, if I get an urge for chocolate, there is a supply in the sideboard.
@SO - Sorry to hear you had a sleepless night, hopefully the Sleep Fairy will visit tonight.
Right, time to eat - I haven't had breakfast yet, at this rate it will be brunch! Enjoy your day whether it be busy or slothful, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning all
Its been raining most of the night and very cold but the sun is just starting to come out hopefully it will be a nice afternoon. Yesterday i spent a happy few hours in the garden planting up all my pots it looks so lovely out there now, OH did some work on the lawn which is really patchy so hope it improves.
We had our roast lamb yesterday which was delicious enough left for OH and I today DD is working a sleep in so will eat at work. Mum really enjoyed the dinner and pudding I walked her home later on and got her all snuggly under her heated throw as the evening turned very cold, the fire was lit at home which made for a cosy evening.
No real plans for today I might just have a lazy day and watch a film this afternoon, I will leave the housework till tomorrow then it will be nice for the week, I will do the shopping tomorrow too.
I have some Easter eggs all of my clients got me one and dd did as well so they should last a few weeks.
Sending hugs to Mehefin it’s still early days for you xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Happy Easter.
Late one from me because I seem to have developed the habit of waking at 3am. It's happened the last four nights and this morning I fell asleep again at 7 so only got up a little while ago.
Just to make you all jealous Steve has got me an egg from the chocolatier who made all the creations for the Wonka film. He's got me one for the last three years, they are limited edition and cost a fortune but honestly truly delicious. They are also huge so it will take me a while to work through it and no I don't share, does that make me a horrible person?
Have a good day.
