Left the site parking fine

Options
Hi I have now a letter of claim from dcb legal. I made the early mistake of trying to appeal before looking at this forum and in the appeal letter I have admitted being there and leaving the site. (Tried to explain my reasoning for leaving as I had used the shops in that retail park  but popped quickly to another shop across the road to get something) Just wondering if I need to address this admission somehow or can I just follow the standard protocol in the threads?

Definitely not a fine,  just a private parking charge notice from a private parking company , an Invoice

    Which Parking Company   ?

Just email the response template to DCB Legal,  same as all the others
  • Ok thank you, yes it is UK Parking control.  Here is the letter of claim.

So email the LoC response template to DCB Legal,  same as everyone else
  • Is it worth adding into the template that I didn't actually leave the site on this occasion, that I got the dates confused? i.e. to invalidate the appeal letter I sent...

hello i now have a court claim and have done the acknowledgemnet of service. just drafting a defence.  Not sure how to proceed with the fact that i wrote the appeal letter early on admitting i left the site. Do I just deny it now and say I got the dates wrong?  TIA

No, don't lie. But presumably you left the site because the signage was unclear and consisted of hundreds of words in tiny writing 8 foot up a pole. Like all UKPC signage.

The onus is on the Claimant to make any contractual restrictions clear (losing themselves £100 in the process) after all 😉

well i left the site because i really didnt want to get back in the car and drive 10m to the next shops... i didnt read the signs but apparently it does say people may be fined if they leave the site. So wont they just say the signs are there and i am in breach of the terms, especially if i have admitted it?

Yes they will. Or they would if they weren't going to discontinue at the eleventh hour.

Have you looked at one of their signs? An essay 9 feet in the air isn't clear, no matter what it says.
