Installing a Handheld Bidet Spraye

I’ve just bought this and it comes with a chrome T valve, seems pretty straightforward how to install it but I cannot locate a stock tap either behind the upstairs toilet or the bathroom sink.
should there definitely be one there somewhere in the bathroom?
to make matters worse I’ve never been able to locate the main stock tap either.
The piping in the bathroom looks to be all push fit with a bit of flexible tubing, do you think it’s possible to be able to fit this without turning the water off?
also can the chrome valve be connected to push-fit ? I thought it was not advisable to connect chrome and push fit together

When you say "stock tap" I presume you mean stopcock and if you don't know where the one on the incoming supply is located it's time to do some investigation.
Make sure you fit a separate stopcock for the device, they don't fail safe and a friend in Australia had a flooded bathroom as a result.
We have them in all 36 rooms of our letting buildings in Thailand and they are the most common plumbing failures.

I’ve heard this thing saying that you cannot fit hands in the UK it’s a bit wierd as it’s far more hygienic. Anyway I don’t think the Water police are gonna find outThe greatest prediction of your future is your daily actions.0 -

They can be fitted if fed via a storage tank of water with suitable air gap. Do it the correct way and no problems.
Do it wrong and you could end up making you and your neighbours very ill.1 -
