Debt collectors are powerless and can safely be ignored. The only thing they can do is send you poor quality bog-paper.
Never, ever 'phone an unregulated private parking company or any of their agents.

Plan A is always a complaint to the landowner and your MP, and it is never too late to do so.

Other than that you are in ignore mode unless you get a letter of/before claim or a court claim. Come back to this thread if that happens.

As well as the above, please help us by signing the petition below.

Just as an FYI, I did complain to the land owner, who eventually got back to and were not very helpful.

"Thank you for your email regarding your parking fine.

At Perranporth Gardens Charities, we take pride in upholding fairness and transparency for all our customers. Our car park operates on a pay-and-display basis, and this requirement is clearly communicated through multiple signs displayed throughout the area.

By using our car park, including parking your vehicle, you agree to abide by the clearly stated terms and conditions, which include the requirement to display a valid parking ticket visibly in your vehicle at all times.

Regarding vehicle registration *********, our records show the vehicle was observed without a valid pay-and-display ticket visibly presented for inspection.

    • A permit was present in the vehicle; however, this was not one of our issued tickets. It appears to be a residential permit and was located in the bottom left corner of the windscreen (as viewed from outside).
    • In a second photo you referred to, a ticket is shown near a pair of glasses. If this was intended to be your parking ticket, it was not clearly readable, as required. Our signage clearly states that all printed information on the ticket must be visible for inspection which this was not.

After a thorough review of your case, I am satisfied that Alliance Parking has acted professionally and within their responsibilities.

Therefore, we will not intervene or overturn their actions. I understand this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and I appreciate your understanding.

    Kind Regards

     Mrs. ************

Just to reiterate, the ticket in question (referenced above) is seen from a picture taken through the passenger side window, had the ticket attendant checked both sides, the ticket would've been clearly visible to them on the drivers side of the dashboard.

I guess this is going to court then.

    Dear Mrs xxxxxxxx

Sad times. Take a long hard look at yourself.

It cannot have escaped your notice that you are drowning in complaints and bad reviews and are losing custom in droves.

You say: "At Perranporth Gardens Charities, we take pride in upholding fairness and transparency for all our customers."

Why then, have you got into bed with Alliance Parking, reportedly one of the most notoriously arrogant ex-wheelclamper parking operators known to victim consumers, whereby this firm denies registered keepers the right to appeal and has described motorists as effectively committing 'theft'?

Did nobody think to google them first, or does someone at your end have a family connection or other reason to inflict this lot on your patrons? Rhetorical question. Give it some thought.

Obviously I'll see them in court and will call you as a witness to explain yourself too. Are there are dates next year you are likely to be unavailable to attend my local court at TOWN?

Thank you for the above, I have tailored it slightly

    Dear Mrs **********,

    Thank you for your reply.

I must express my serious concerns regarding your partnership with Alliance Parking, and to highlight again this specific incident that calls into question both the fairness of enforcement and the wider implications for Perranporth Gardens Charities' reputation.

You state: "At Perranporth Gardens Charities, we take pride in upholding fairness and transparency for all our customers."
With respect, I find this difficult to reconcile with what I had recently experienced. A parking attendant issued a penalty despite the fact that my valid ticket was clearly displayed on the driver’s side of the dashboard, precisely as instructed by the signage on-site. Yet the attendant reportedly made no effort to check the driver’s side of this right-hand drive vehicle, instead observing only from the passenger side unwittingly photographing the ticket. This kind of cursory inspection hardly reflects fairness or due diligence.

More broadly, I am concerned by your organisation’s decision to partner with Alliance Parking. This company is widely reported to exhibit aggressive and dismissive behaviour toward motorists. Numerous reviews and complaints—many of which can be found on their Trustpilot page—describe questionable practices, including refusal to allow registered keepers a proper appeals process and inflammatory language characterising motorists as effectively committing "theft."

May I ask: was this firm subject to any vetting or reputational review prior to engagement? A simple online search would have raised red flags.

I will, of course, be challenging the penalty through legal channels. I also intend to request that a representative from your organisation attend any forthcoming hearing to provide evidence regarding the decision to work with Alliance Parking and the enforcement protocols in place. Please let me know if there are any dates in the coming year when you are likely to be unavailable for a court appearance in my local area.

    Yours sincerely,
